1. Who we are

The Regional Chamber of Commerce is the shared identity of the Broward County, Miami-Dade County and South Florida chambers of commerce, private business associations operated by Chamber Approved, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, serving business owners across South Florida. They offer membership, a member business directory, business expos, sponsorships and networking events. They are not government offices. This policy explains how Chamber Approved, Inc (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses personal information, including information collected through our text-messaging (SMS) program.

The Regional Chamber of Commerce is operated by Chamber Approved, Inc., which runs the Broward County, Miami-Dade County and South Florida chambers of commerce.

2. Information we collect

• Contact information you give us when you call, such as your name, company name, email address, office phone and mobile phone number.
• Recordings and transcripts of calls to the Chamber, including any consent you give during the call to receive a text message.
• SMS opt-in and consent records: that you agreed to receive a text message, and when.
• Details of the membership, event or sponsorship you asked about.

3. How we use information

We use your information to answer your enquiry, to send you the membership, exhibitor, sponsorship or event registration link you asked for, to return your call, and to administer your membership or registration. Text messages are sent only as described in our SMS program and SMS Terms. Message frequency varies, typically one or two messages per call. Message and data rates may apply.

4. Mobile information & SMS opt-in data

Mobile information — including phone numbers and SMS opt-in / consent data — is never sold, rented, or shared with any third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes.

All other data categories also exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS opt-in data is used solely to deliver the caller-requested links and callback notifications described in the Regional Chamber of Commerce SMS program, and is never shared with third parties for marketing.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate, such as our telephone, AI receptionist and customer-records providers and the registration and payment site used for Chamber sign-ups, and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law. As stated above, we do not sell or share mobile information or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing.

6. Data retention

We keep contact, call and consent records for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, to administer any membership or registration, and to meet legal obligations, after which they are deleted or de-identified.

7. Your choices
