Genie — your AI copilot
It does not answer questions about your business. It does the work.
Genie is the AI copilot inside Lead Friendly. It reads your real pipeline, drafts the follow-up, desks the deal, builds the campaign, and writes the website page — from chat, from your voice, from Siri, or from a phone call. Everything that changes something waits for you to say yes.
The difference between an assistant and an operator
Most AI in business software explains the software. Ask it to actually book the appointment and it hands you a help article. Genie has around seventy tools wired into the live system, so when you ask it to book Tuesday at ten, the appointment exists. When you ask what the payment looks like at sixty months with three thousand down, it runs the real desking engine — the same one that prints the contract — not an estimate it wrote itself.
The trade-off is that an operator needs a leash. That is the second half of this page, and it is the half worth reading first if you have ever been nervous about letting software near your customers.
What you can hand to Genie
Works your inbox and your day
Ask what came in overnight, who is waiting on a reply, what is on the calendar, and which calls need a callback. Genie reads your contacts, conversations, appointments, tasks, and call summaries, then drafts the follow-up. Sending a text, an email, or placing an AI call is a separate step you approve.
Desks the deal
Give it a vehicle, a customer, and a target payment, and it returns the full worksheet: tax, fees, amount financed, the payment grid, front and back gross, and the disclosed APR. It solves backwards too — hit this payment, or hit this gross, and it shows you which lever moves. Then it generates the buyer order or contract with a signing link.
Builds and edits your website
Describe the business and Genie writes the homepage and the supporting pages, sets the meta title and description, and publishes when you say so. It writes the words. It does not upload photos, change your layout or colours, or buy a domain — and it will tell you that rather than pretend otherwise.
Builds campaigns and automations from a sentence
Describe the outcome and Genie writes the whole step sequence. Everything it creates arrives switched off — campaigns as drafts, workflows paused, new agents in review. Nothing it builds dials, sends, or answers until you turn it on yourself.
Learns your way of doing things
Do a job once with Genie and ask it to remember. It replays what actually happened from its own audit log and saves the method as a named skill you can run again by name. Six ship built in, including the website build and an F&I walkthrough.
Briefs you on a schedule
Standing briefings run on their own and arrive without you asking. Scheduled runs are read-only by design — a routine can tell you the pipeline is cold, but it cannot text a single customer, because an unattended outreach path around quiet hours and opt-out rules is not one worth having.

Four ways to reach it
The app is the full surface. The other three exist for the moments you are not at a desk — and each one is read-only, which is why they are safe to use from a lot or a driveway.
Chat, in the app
The sidebar copilot. This is the full surface — the only place Genie can make changes, and where approval cards appear.
Hey Genie, in the browser
Say the wake word and talk instead of typing, with spoken answers back. Uses your browser speech engine, so it works in Chrome, Edge, and Safari. Firefox does not support it and the microphone stays hidden there.
Siri, on your phone
A shortcut you install once. Say "Hey Siri, Genie" and it opens and listens for your question. iOS shortcuts cannot capture a whole instruction in one breath, so it is two steps, not one — we would rather say that than have you discover it in the parking lot.
Call it, from anywhere
Ring your own AI number and ask Genie a question mid-call. Only numbers you allowlist get through, with a spoken PIN as a second gate. Read-only on this channel — no changes from a phone, ever.
Genie works on a leash. That is the point.
The reason most owners will not let AI near their customers is that they cannot see what it is doing or what it will cost. Both were built in from the start rather than added after somebody complained.
It asks before it changes anything
Genie reads on its own. Anything that writes — sending a message, booking, saving a deal, launching a campaign — stops and shows you exactly what it is about to do. It runs when you allow it, and not before.
A daily ceiling it cannot argue with
Every account has a hard daily limit on what Genie may spend, checked before it starts thinking rather than after. When it hits the line it stops and says so, and the limit resets at midnight UTC. There is no override, deliberately.
It cannot wander into another account
Which organisation Genie is acting on is decided inside the database from your proven identity, not from anything the AI says about itself. A model that hallucinated a different company id would still write to yours, or to nothing at all.
Read-only wherever you are not watching
Voice, Siri, phone, and scheduled runs cannot change anything at all. If you ask by voice for something that writes, Genie declines and tells you to do it in the app. The convenient channels are the safe ones by construction.
What Genie will not do
Worth knowing before you rely on it, and worth us saying before you find out:
- It never asks for or handles a Social Security number or date of birth. Credit applications go to the customer as a secure link they fill in themselves, encrypted on arrival.
- It does not submit credit applications to lenders. There is no live RouteOne or Dealertrack connection, and Genie records a draft and says exactly that rather than implying a bank saw it.
- It does not push deals into a DMS. The connector is not built, and it reports that nothing was written rather than reporting success.
- It never quotes your cost, pack, reserve, or gross to a customer, and never states a trade value or an equity figure as though it were an offer.
- It does not change your plan or billing, delete your data, buy phone numbers, or move money.
- It cannot see your screen, and it cannot see another organisation.
- It does not guess. If it does not have a price, an address, a licence number, or a fact about your business, it asks instead of inventing one.
Frequently asked
What is Genie?
Genie is the AI copilot built into every Lead Friendly account. It is not a chatbot that answers questions about the software — it is an operator with about seventy tools that reads your real CRM, inventory, calendar, and deals, and then does the work: drafting the follow-up, desking the deal, building the campaign, writing the website page. You reach it by chat in the app, by voice in the browser, through a Siri shortcut, or by calling your own AI number.
Can Genie do something I did not approve?
No. Genie reads freely, but every action that changes something is held back and shown to you first as a confirmation card describing precisely what it will do. It runs only when you allow it. On voice, Siri, phone, and scheduled runs it cannot write at all, regardless of what it is asked — those channels are read-only by construction, not by policy.
What stops it running up a bill?
A hard daily ceiling per account, denominated in real spend rather than message count, and checked before Genie makes its first call rather than after the damage. When it reaches the limit it stops and tells you, and it resets at midnight UTC. It also starts every request on a small fast model and only reaches for the expensive one when the cheap attempt genuinely was not enough.
Does Genie cost extra per use?
No. Genie usage is included in your plan — there is no per-message charge, no bundle to buy, and nothing is deducted from your wallet for talking to it. The one exception is lead extraction, where Genie finds new businesses from public web data and you pay per usable lead it writes; that feature is off unless you turn it on, and it tells you the cost before it runs.
Can Genie really build my website?
Yes, on white-label and agency accounts, from the app. Describe the business and it writes the homepage and several supporting pages as drafts, sets each page title and description, and publishes when you tell it to. Be clear on the boundary: Genie writes the words. It does not upload your photos, change the layout or the colours, or register a domain, and it says so rather than producing something and hoping.
Is Genie safe to use on customer-facing work?
It is built to be, and the specifics matter more than the assurance. Genie never handles a Social Security number or date of birth. It never quotes your cost, pack, reserve, or gross to a customer, and never states a trade value as an offer. It will not imply that a lender approved anything. Messages it drafts are still yours to send, and outbound calling stays inside the same quiet-hours, opt-out, and consent rules the rest of the platform enforces.
What happens when Genie cannot do something?
It says so plainly. Where a connection does not exist — submitting a credit application to a lender, pushing a deal to a DMS — it reports that nothing was written rather than manufacturing a confirmation. Where a request is too complex to finish in one pass, it says that too instead of returning a half-answer that looks complete.
Do I have to learn commands?
No. You describe what you want in ordinary language. If you want repeatability, do the job once with Genie and ask it to remember — it replays what actually happened and saves it as a named skill you can run again later by name.
