What does GoHighLevel AI voice really cost per month?
GoHighLevel bills AI voice in five parts: the agency plan ($97, $297 or $497), an AI Employee plan per client ($50 or $97) or pay-per-use minutes, a number and per-minute phone charges, and LLM tokens. How the bill adds up
- Agency plan: $97 for up to 3 sub-accounts, $297 unlimited, $497 to rebill with markup.
- AI per client: pay-per-use at the Voice Engine plus text-to-speech rate, the $50 Growth plan with 100 minutes, or the $97 Unlimited plan. The calculator picks the cheapest.
- Phone, on every plan: $1.15 a month per US local number and $0.01165 per inbound minute.
- LLM tokens on metered minutes, by model, which you enter yourself.
Frequently asked questions
How much does GoHighLevel Voice AI cost per minute?
On pay-per-use it is the Voice Engine at $0.045 a minute, plus a text-to-speech rate ($0.015 a minute for OpenAI or Cartesia, more for ElevenLabs), plus LLM tokens billed by the million, plus Phone System charges. Without tokens that is about $0.06 a minute before the call itself, which is $0.01165 a minute inbound in the US. Older posts quoting $0.13 a minute use a superseded model.
Is the phone number included in GoHighLevel AI Employee?
No. HighLevel's own pricing article says Phone System charges apply to all calls on every plan. A US local number is $1.15 a month, and inbound calls are billed per whole minute.
Is AI Employee Unlimited worth $97?
It starts to pay off once a client passes roughly 1,600 minutes a month, where pay-per-use at about $0.06 a minute reaches $97 (the line moves lower once you add LLM tokens, which are billed per minute on top). Below that, pay-per-use is cheaper, and the $50 Growth plan rarely beats it because its 100 included minutes are worth only about $6. Unlimited also carries fair-use terms, so check them before you promise a client unlimited calls.
Do I need the $497 plan?
Only if you rebill AI usage to clients with a markup. HighLevel says agencies must be on the $497 plan to rebill AI Employee usage. For your own use, the $97 plan covers up to three sub-accounts and the $297 plan covers unlimited.
When is GoHighLevel cheaper than Lead Friendly?
At one to three clients, and again at high total volume. Lead Friendly Agency is a $199 base with 600 pooled minutes, then $0.12 a minute, which is more than GoHighLevel's metered rate of about $0.07 a minute with phone, before tokens. On the default inputs (300 minutes per client) Lead Friendly comes out ahead only from about 4 to 10 clients, where the pooled minutes cover several small clients, and token costs, which GoHighLevel bills extra, move that range in its favour. GoHighLevel is also the broader platform, with funnels, memberships and SaaS mode.
What does this calculator leave out?
Texts, A2P 10DLC fees, email, outbound calling, HIPAA add-ons, and LLM tokens unless you enter them. It assumes all calls are inbound US calls and uses whole-number minutes. Treat the result as a floor for GoHighLevel, not a quote, and confirm in-app before pricing a client.
