Lead Friendly vs Tekion

Tekion is a cloud DMS and CRM for dealerships with AI agents for service scheduling, sales leads, F&I and accounting that run inside its own platform, and it publishes no price. Lead Friendly is the AI phone agent inside its own dealer CRM, with inventory, photos, a desk and a website, that sits beside the DMS you already run, at a published price on month-to-month terms.

Everything about Tekion below was read from its own website on October 31, 2026, and each row says which side does what. Verify on their site before you buy; vendors change plans without telling anyone.

Where Lead Friendly wins against Tekion

It works beside the DMS you have

Lead Friendly sits beside any DMS, or none, and you can start without a migration. Tekion describes its AI as running natively on its own platform; whether Scheduler AI works without a Tekion DMS is not stated.

The AI calls new leads back

A website-form lead is called automatically inside legal calling hours when the shopper gave call consent. Tekion’s pages describe Scheduler AI for service calls and Salesperson AI for lead replies; calling leads back is not described.

Published price, month to month

Lead Friendly for Dealers is $349 a month plus a one-time $500 setup fee, month to month. Tekion publishes no price; its call to action is a demo.

Bottom line

Tekion is the platform: a DMS, accounting, payments, a service scheduler that reads live shop capacity, F&I checks, SOC 2 and ISO badges and a reported 3,000+ dealerships; it publishes no price. Lead Friendly is the AI phone agent that answers and calls back, plus a CRM, and it does not write to a DMS. Pick Tekion if you are replacing your DMS and want the AI on the same platform; pick Lead Friendly if you are keeping your DMS and the phone is the problem.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lead Friendly a Tekion alternative?

For the AI that answers calls and works leads, in part. Tekion is a cloud DMS and CRM with AI agents for service, sales, F&I and accounting that run inside its platform; Lead Friendly is a dealer CRM and an AI phone agent that sits beside your DMS and does not write to it. If you are replacing your DMS and want the AI on the same platform, Tekion is built for that. If you are keeping your DMS and want the phone answered and leads called back, Lead Friendly is.

How much does Tekion cost?

As of October 2026 Tekion does not publish a price or contract term on the pages we opened; the call to action is a demo. Ask for the monthly total per rooftop for the products you would use, the AI agents, the setup and migration cost, and the contract length. Lead Friendly publishes its dealer price: $349 a month ($279 a month on annual) plus a one-time $500 setup fee, with 1,800 AI voice minutes and 2,500 texts included, month to month.

Does Tekion’s AI voice agent need a Tekion DMS?

Its Scheduler AI page says the agent “runs natively on Tekion’s AI-native Automotive Retail Cloud” and reads live capacity and op-code definitions from it, and says there is no separate database to sync. It does not say whether the agent works for a store on another DMS. Ask Tekion that question directly before you plan around it.

Can I use Lead Friendly if I am on Tekion?

Yes, as a layer beside it. Lead Friendly answers overflow and after-hours calls and calls new web leads back, and sends every call and lead to your CRM as an ADF lead. It does not write to Tekion, so appointments and call outcomes live in Lead Friendly unless you carry them across through that lead email.

Which one should an independent used-car lot choose?

A single used-car lot that is not changing its DMS often does not need an AI-native DMS to get its phone answered. It needs the phone agent, lead follow-up and a CRM it owns at a price it can see, which is Lead Friendly. A larger store replacing its DMS, with a service lane that wants scheduling against live shop capacity, is Tekion’s shape.

Switching from Tekion

  1. Start on Lead Friendly for Dealers. The one-time $500 setup is the work: we load your inventory, wire your feeds and your lead sources, and build and tune the agent with you.
  2. Keep your current DMS. Forward the store’s number to the AI agent, every call or only when nobody picks up, and import your customer list from a CSV.
  3. If you are evaluating a move to Tekion’s DMS, ask Tekion whether its AI agents work without it, and for the contract term in writing, before you decide what stays.

Rather hear it first? Talk to the agent in your browser, no signup and no phone number.

Try it before anyone quotes you

7 days or 30 AI voice minutes, whichever comes first; no credit card. No demo call — paste your website and your phone rings in the first two minutes.
