Lead Friendly vs Close
Close is the gold-standard CRM for human-driven outbound — power and predictive dialers, workflows, and granular per-rep activity reporting — and since June 2026 every plan includes Chloe, an AI sales agent that calls leads. Lead Friendly is built AI-first — the agent answers and places the calls, the CRM captures what was said, and pricing is per organization with AI minutes bundled instead of per seat.
Honest comparison below. Close is better at what it's purpose-built for; that's reflected in the rows.
Bottom line
Yes, Lead Friendly is a viable Close alternative, and the gap is narrower than it was: since June 2026 every Close plan includes Chloe, an AI sales agent that calls leads, qualifies them and books meetings. The difference is now shape and price. Close is a human-first sales CRM priced per user ($19–$149 a month on monthly billing) with calling, SMS and Chloe's AI usage metered on top, plus a Power Dialer on Growth and Scale and a Predictive Dialer on Scale. Lead Friendly prices per organization with AI voice minutes bundled, answers inbound calls as well as placing outbound ones, and adds TCPA/10DLC/caller-ID enforcement and agency white-label, but is weaker on sequence building and dedicated human dialing. Choose Close if human dialing is core to your motion or you need that Power Dialer; choose Lead Friendly if you want the AI's minutes in a flat plan and per-seat pricing is becoming a tax as you grow.

Frequently asked questions
Is Lead Friendly a Close alternative?
Yes, though the gap is narrower than it was: since June 2026 every Close plan includes Chloe, an AI sales agent that calls leads, qualifies them and books meetings. Close is still built around human-driven outbound — power and predictive dialers, workflows, granular reporting on rep activity — with AI, calling and SMS usage billed on top of per-user seats. Lead Friendly is built AI-first: AI voice minutes are bundled into the plan, the agent answers inbound calls as well as placing outbound ones, and the CRM captures whatever it learns on the call.
Does Lead Friendly have a power dialer like Close?
Not in the same dedicated form. Lead Friendly's primary outbound mode is the AI voice agent — the agent dials, qualifies, and books. We have a manual softphone for human-dial use cases, but if you need a Predictive or Power Dialer specifically for an SDR team to grind through lists, Close is the better tool today.
How does the pricing compare for a 5-person sales team?
On monthly billing, Close Essentials is $49 per user ($245 a month for five) and Growth — the first plan with the Power Dialer and workflows — is $109 per user ($545 a month for five), before calling, SMS and Chloe's AI usage; annual billing lowers those to $35 and $99 per user. Lead Friendly Pro is $99 a month for up to 5 seats with 400 AI voice minutes included, and Agency ($199 a month) removes the seat limit. If your reps dial by hand all day, Close earns its seat price; if the AI does most of the calling, the flat plan usually costs less.
Can I migrate my Close pipeline data into Lead Friendly?
CSV import for contacts, opportunities, and notes is supported today. Direct Close-to-Lead-Friendly migration tooling is on the roadmap. Email hello@leadfriendly.com if a Close migration is what's blocking a switch — we have built one-off CSV pipelines for customers in this position.
Does Close have AI voice agents?
Yes. Since June 2026 every Close plan includes Chloe, an AI sales agent that calls your leads, runs discovery against your qualification criteria, handles objections, books meetings into your calendar and logs the outcome in Close. Close bills AI as usage and says Chloe currently works in English. Its pages describe Chloe calling leads; answering inbound calls is not described. Lead Friendly's agents answer inbound calls and place outbound ones, with AI voice minutes included in the plan.
