Lead Friendly vs Retell AI
Both platforms run AI voice calls. They're built for different jobs. Retell is a developer-grade voice API you assemble into a custom product. Lead Friendly is the assembled product — voice AI, telephony, CRM, calendar, and compliance bundled into one subscription.
The honest version of the comparison is below. We list where Retell is better, not just where we are.

Frequently asked questions
When does Retell make more sense than Lead Friendly?
Retell is the better fit when you are building a custom voice product on top of an API and you already own the CRM, telephony, and orchestration layers. Their voice latency, custom-voice options, and developer surface are deeper than ours.
When does Lead Friendly make more sense than Retell?
Lead Friendly is the better fit when you want a complete outbound stack — AI calling, telephony, CRM, calendar booking, automations, and TCPA compliance — without integrating five vendors. The savings are real once you total Retell + Twilio + a CRM + a workflow tool.
Can I use Lead Friendly’s AI agents with my existing CRM?
Lead Friendly is designed as a single platform — the AI agents write directly into the included CRM. We do not currently expose a CRM-only mode for use alongside HubSpot or Salesforce. Two-way sync is on the roadmap.
Does Lead Friendly use Retell under the hood?
No. We do not use Retell. Voice AI runs on a direct ElevenLabs + Deepgram + LLM stack, telephony runs through Telnyx + LiveKit SIP, all configured by us.
How does TCPA compliance compare?
Lead Friendly enforces TCPA (artificial-voice disclosure, DNC scrub, opt-out ledger, quiet hours) at the platform layer — it is not optional. Retell exposes the underlying primitives but compliance posture is the customer’s responsibility.
