Lead Friendly vs AutoManager

AutoManager sells used-car dealers a dealer management system, a website and marketing product with inventory exports, and a CRM, each priced separately from a published starting figure. Lead Friendly is not a DMS. It is the AI phone agent, CRM, photos, VIN-to-listing, desk and website that sit in front of one, at a single published price.

Everything about AutoManager below was read from its own website on October 18, 2026. We list where AutoManager is the better choice, not just where we are. Verify on their site before you buy; vendors change plans without telling anyone.

Bottom line

AutoManager is the stronger choice for the back office and for listing reach: forms, F&I, buy-here-pay-here, lender integrations, exports to 250+ sites and a Facebook Marketplace posting utility, from $88 a month for the DMS. Lead Friendly covers the front of the store: an AI that answers your phone and calls leads back, with quiet-hours and do-not-call checks, plus a website you own. A dealer who keeps AutoManager for the books can add Lead Friendly for the phone.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lead Friendly an AutoManager alternative?

Not as a DMS. AutoManager’s core is dealer management software for used-car dealers, with forms, F&I, buy-here-pay-here and accounting integrations, and Lead Friendly does not do the accounting or the note servicing. AutoManager also sells a website and marketing product and a CRM. Against those two modules the comparison is closer: Lead Friendly adds an AI that answers your phone, which AutoManager’s pages do not describe, and AutoManager adds export reach and Facebook Marketplace posting, which we do not have.

How much does AutoManager cost?

As of October 2026 AutoManager’s pricing page shows “starting” monthly prices: $88 for the DMS, $70 for the car dealer website and marketing plan, $140 for the CRM and text marketing plan, and $144 for the DMS and website together (verify on their site). Some items carry markers and footnotes about subscriptions and per-vehicle costs, so add up the lines you need and ask what each marker means. Lead Friendly’s dealer price is published: $349 a month ($279 a month on annual) plus a one-time $500 setup fee, with 1,800 AI voice minutes and 2,500 texts included.

Does AutoManager have an AI that answers the phone?

The pages we read do not describe one. Its CRM page lists AI Lead Nurturing that engages internet leads around the clock, an auto-responder, texting, call routing, transfers and call recording with AI insights. Lead Friendly’s agent answers calls 24/7 and calls website-form leads back inside legal calling hours when the shopper gave call consent.

AutoManager’s CRM says Selly Automotive. Is that a different product?

AutoManager’s CRM page is titled Selly Automotive CRM and says the product “has joined AutoManager”, so the two now appear on one page; we compare Selly Automotive separately. If you are weighing AutoManager’s CRM, read both.

Which comes first for a small lot: AutoManager or Lead Friendly?

If you need a DMS with forms, F&I, buy-here-pay-here and wide marketplace exports at a price that starts at $88 a month, AutoManager is in that category and Lead Friendly is not. If your books are covered and the leak is calls nobody answers and web leads nobody rings back, start a Lead Friendly trial and let the agent take real calls for a week.

Measure first: how fast does your store answer a new lead?
