Lead Friendly

Lead Friendly vs DealerCenter

DealerCenter is a dealer management system for independent dealers — deal desking, F&I, titling, accounting, lender submission, and buy-here-pay-here note servicing, with a website module attached. Lead Friendly is the front office: an AI CRM for independent dealers with an agent that answers the phone, plus an optional custom-built website.

This is the comparison where we replace the least. Most dealers who run both keep the DMS and add us — the page says so because it is true, and you would discover it within a week anyway.

Bottom line

These are not substitutes. If you do buy-here-pay-here, handle your own titling, or want dealership accounting in one system, you need a DMS and Lead Friendly does not replace one — we have no titling, no accounting ledger, and no note servicing. What we do is the half a DMS was never built for: answering the phone at 7pm on a Saturday, calling a fresh web lead back within minutes, recording and summarising every conversation on the contact record, and enforcing TCPA and DNC rules before any automated call goes out. Compare on what is actually leaking at your store, not on feature counts.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lead Friendly a DealerCenter alternative?

Mostly not, and it would be misleading to claim otherwise. DealerCenter is a dealer management system — titling, F&I, accounting, and buy-here-pay-here note servicing — and Lead Friendly does none of those. We are the front office: lead capture, an AI agent that answers your phone, follow-up, call recording, and the website. Most independent dealers who use both keep the DMS for the back office and add us for the phone and the follow-up.

Do I need both DealerCenter and Lead Friendly?

If you do buy-here-pay-here, handle your own titling, or need dealership accounting in one place, you need a DMS and we do not replace it. Whether you also need us depends on where your leads are going: if calls go unanswered at nights and weekends, or web leads wait hours for a first touch, that is a front-office gap a DMS is not designed to close. Measure your unanswered-call rate for a month before adding anything.

How much does DealerCenter cost?

Pricing is modular — a base subscription with per-module add-ons for things like websites, marketing, and additional integrations — so the realistic monthly total for a working stack is normally well above the entry-level figure quoted publicly. Ask for pricing with every module you actually need named in the quote. Lead Friendly publishes its software pricing and bills month-to-month.

Does Lead Friendly replace my DMS?

No. There is no titling, no accounting ledger, and no note servicing, and we would rather say that plainly than have you find out after switching. We generate deal jackets and F&I documents, which overlaps the desking part of a DMS, but the back-office functions a DMS exists for are not something we cover.

Can I use the DealerCenter website module and still use Lead Friendly?

Yes. The AI phone agent and CRM work with whatever website you have, so you can keep the DealerCenter site and route your forms and a tracked number into Lead Friendly. Having us build the site is worth it when you want the site, the CRM, and the phone agent reading from one source of truth — but it is an option, not a requirement.
